These terms cover your use of pricehiked.com ("PriceHiked", "we", "us"). By using the site, signing up for alerts, submitting a product or buying a sponsored placement, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What PriceHiked is

PriceHiked is an independent site that tracks price changes on software tools and compares cheaper alternatives. Reading the site and getting price alerts is free.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the companies we cover, except where a placement is clearly labeled Sponsored. Product names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners and are used only to identify their products.

2. Prices are information, not advice

We check prices against official pricing pages and announcements, and each page says when and where. Prices still change without notice, they vary by region, currency, tax and billing period, and we make mistakes. Calculators and savings figures are estimates for the usage you enter.

Always confirm the current price on the vendor's own site before you buy, cancel or migrate. Nothing on PriceHiked is legal, financial or other professional advice. Migration guides are general steps: back up your data before you move it.

3. Alerts and emails

If you subscribe, we email you about the price changes you chose to follow, and the weekly Hike Report if you asked for it. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email or by writing to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your address.

4. Things you send us

When you submit a product, a correction, a No-Hike Pledge or a sponsorship request, you confirm that what you send is accurate and that you're allowed to send it. You let us publish, edit, summarize and display it on PriceHiked, in our emails and in our social posts, without payment to you.

We review submissions and may decline, edit or remove any of them. A pledge is a public promise by the vendor to follow the pledge rules shown when signing. If we find evidence that a pledge was broken, we may mark it as broken and publish that evidence.

5. Sponsored placements and other paid services

Paid services are for companies, not readers.

• Sponsored placements are sold by quote, invoice or payment link, priced in US dollars and paid in advance through Stripe. Taxes are added where the law requires.
• Every placement is labeled Sponsored and sits outside the ranking. Paying us never changes a ranking, whether or when a price-hike page is published, or what it says. Sponsors get no advance notice of our coverage.
• We may decline or remove a placement that is misleading, unlawful, infringes someone's rights or isn't a genuine alternative in its category. You are responsible for your ad copy, offer and links, and for honoring the offer you advertise.
• Cancellations and refunds follow our Refund Policy.
• Pay-per-customer arrangements follow the written terms we agree with you, together with these terms.

6. Referral links

Some links to other products carry a referral tag, and we may earn a commission if you buy through them. It costs you nothing extra, and it never affects how products are ranked.

7. Fair use of the site

Please don't overload or try to break the site, send spam or fake submissions through our forms, submit other people's personal data, or copy our price database wholesale and publish it as your own. Quoting us and linking to us with credit is welcome.

8. Our content

The site's text, design and price database belong to PriceHiked. Material from vendors and other sources belongs to its owners.

9. Other websites

We link to vendors and other sites that we don't control. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

10. No warranty

PriceHiked is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about its accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose.

11. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of PriceHiked. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.

12. Changes

We may change or stop parts of the site. We may also update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and we'll announce significant changes on the site and email sponsors with active placements. If you keep using PriceHiked after an update, the new terms apply.
